I’m a freelance writer who lives in New York City but regularly travels north to the Berkshire mountain region where I grew up. In this picture, I’m proving that I not only appreciate nature but am also a hip girl with city fashion sense. Realistically, my mom lent me these sunglasses that she got at a thrift store (edgy!), and until I sat on them (because I’m the clumsy, carefree, lovable type), I really liked how they hid half my face. It made me so mysterious, unlike this bio.
I studied English Literature and Women’s Studies at the University of Connecticut in hopes of using writing to convey how critical feminism’s goals are to our world. There’s nothing I care about more than my family, friends, and connecting to people. But when I’m on my own, my passions are for words, social justice, travelling, and lying down as much as possible.
My work has been published by Bust Magazine, Bust.com, Bustle, Elephant Journal, and Manifest-Station. You can check it out here.
